This Privacy Policy explains how Labour Khata Pro ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. Labour Khata Pro is a bookkeeping app that helps construction contractors track labour, attendance (hajri), advances, site expenses, and settlements. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account information

When you sign in, we collect the identifier you use to create your account (such as your email address or phone number) through Google Firebase Authentication. This is used only to create and secure your account.

b. Data you enter

The App stores the business records you choose to add, for example:

• Worker / labour names and their wage or salary details
• Attendance (hajri) records
• Advances, payments, and settlements
• Site names and expenses
• Notes and reminders you create

You control this data. We do not ask for and the App does not need government IDs, bank details, or any payment card information.

c. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not access your location.
• We do not access your camera, photos, or media.
• We do not access your contacts, microphone, or call logs.
• We do not sell your data to anyone.

2. Permissions We Use

The App requests only the Notifications permission, so it can show you local reminders (for example, pending payments) on your device. You can turn notifications off any time from your phone settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core features of the App (recording and showing your khata data).
• To sync your data across your own sessions and devices.
• To generate PDF reports and WhatsApp summaries when you choose to share them.
• To send you local reminders you set up.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Each user's data is isolated: you can read and write only your own records, enforced by server-side security rules. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Your information is shared only:

• With Google Firebase, our infrastructure provider, solely to store and secure your data. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• When you choose to export or send a report (for example via WhatsApp or PDF) — in that case you decide who receives it.
• If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records inside the App at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including authenticated access, per-user data isolation (row-level security rules), and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for business use by adults (contractors) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
